The Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) is a framework of reference for assessing proficiency of foreign languages. The CEFR describes foreign language proficiency at six levels: A1 and A2, B1 and B2, C1 and C2. To participate in the ITP you need to have a level of English equivalent to at least B1 but preferably B2. Please read through the document you can find at Reference_for_Languages carefully and assess you own level of English. Be prepared to show your level of English in an interview before acceptance to the program. I assess that my level of English is as follows for the different proficiencies:
