Women's Political Leadership 2020-2021

General Information

The Application should be completed and submitted to the programme secretariat of the International Centre for Local Democracy no later than August 24, 2020.

You cannot save data in this form. You need to complete the entire application and submit it during the same session.

In order to complete the application please make sure you have the following documents saved on this computer:
1) A pdf or jpg copy of your passport showing personal and passport data
2) A passport-sized photo in jpg or gif-format (Preferred). Pdf format is also accepted for your photograph.

For any text, please use lower case latin letters A-Z and a-z. Cyrillic letters cannot be used. Please note that you need to fill in the application during the same session (it is not possible to save and come back another time). You can copy text from other programs and insert into the boxes where text is required.

Women as political leaders at local/regional level can apply to this Women's Political Leadership programme. You must reside and take an active role in politics in one of the following countries:
Bosnia and Herzegovina, Botswana, Indonesia, Kenya, Moldova, Mozambique, Namibia, Serbia, Tanzania, Turkey or Ukraine.

Language Skills

The Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) is a framework of reference for assessing proficiency of foreign languages. The CEFR describes foreign language proficiency at six levels: A1 and A2, B1 and B2, C1 and C2. To participate in the programme you need to have a level of English equivalent to at least B1 but preferably B2. Please read through the following document Reference_for_Languages carefully and assess you own level of English. Be prepared to show your level of English in an interview before acceptance to the program.

Strategic leadership issue

Each participant will work on strengthening their own personal "strategic leadership issue” which should improve their role as a political leader. Please describe your strategic issue, max 8000 characters, by describing:

1) Background and explanation of the role and responsibility of the applicant.
2) Strategic leadership issue and which tools needed to grow as a leader.
